Helping hands!

This term we are helping Room 23 use computers wisely and not just play games. So far we have taught them how to login to on to Google and soon they will be able to do their own blog. Then we will have to super smart computer classes and there will be some Room 23 blogs not just Room 13.

Run, jump, throw!

This week we did run, jump, throw trails. We did sprints, vortex, long jump, high jump, shot-putt and discs.  I did okay in the sprints there are a lot of faster people than me in my grade. I'm not to sure what I came in long jump, I miss my score. In high jump I was the one (and Andrew) that held the bar. At shot-putt I tied with three others Heath, Daniel and Ryan (All are awesome friends!). The lucky last event, discs. I think I did okay but not too good and not too bad I was okay.               P.S. I would never beat them!                                                                

Mr Van Kampen cup

Every year Kapanui school will verse Waikanae school in rippa rugby, tackle rugby, hockey, football and netball. Kapanui school have won the cup for the last three years, BUT sadly this year we have lost it to Waikanae school. We lost the rippa 30-6 I think, we lost the tackle 30-0, we lost the hockey I don't remember the score, we drew in the football 1-1 and we won the netball. So over all we lost. I went to watch the rugby we got there in time to see the second half. It was a shocker! They were get pass ever time basely. At the rugby in the Waikanae school I saw some of my rugby team mates from the winter rugby team. I still enjoy watching the rugby and next year I get to play.

Art week!

This week we had art week! Room 13 made masks and monsters. For the masks are teacher cut us some cardboard corners from boxes and then that's where we come in! First we started with the bottom layer ,my first layer was sliver cardboard, then I put some red cardboard stuff the top and bottom and went from there layering it and layering it. Until we had a lot of layers.  Found the layering really fun because we could that the mask were we wanted. We had no lines to follow. It was really are own mask! Here is my mask...

 For the monsters we got some fabric and then cut out the shape  we wanted. We sewed the monsters half way then stuffed the with some fluff.
